Vintage Fuzz Master Core
blistering octavia fuzz
A blistering octave up fuzz, the sister to the Soda Meiser. Imagine if the Big Muff was octave up capable and you will understand that the Vintage Fuzz Master is capable of.
The Vintage Fuzz Master picks up where the Soda Meiser leaves off. At lower intensities it acts as a classic disharmonic fuzz not unlike the Ampeg Scrambler, while at higher intensities it begins to behave more like an octave fuzz, eventually reaching Fender Blender insanity.
Back in the day when I was looking for a really wild fuzz sound I heard in the most insane of Jimi Hendrix performances, or psychadelic noise freak outs of the 60’s and 70’s, it seemed that all the pedals people were recommending just weren’t cutting it.
That’s because a lot of those old fuzz sounds were created by combining fuzz faces or tone benders with high gain marshall stacks recorded at insane volumes.
The Vintage Fuzz Master is my solution to the conundrum of wanting to have that sound in a tiny package. All the madness of vintage fuzz into a high gain amp with out the hassle of carrying around a stack with you.
This is an accurate component to component simulation of exactly how my pedals work. Not a generic distortion curve or an inferior NAM snapshot. This is the real deal, and it’s gorgeous.
A Spectrum Taper toggle spreads tone more evenly across the pregain allowing you more useful access to a wide variety of fuzz tones harder to reach in the original fuzz.
